It was reported yesterday Napoli will sign him to one year extension to facilitate a loan. It helps us too because it defers payment, so it's a win win.

Ah right cheers for clearing that up missed that bit of news! I get the deferred payment idea to the deal.. Makes sense if it frees up some cash now to spend on Skirinar

Ridiculously good bit of business if true - £16.5m is not even a risk, we could easily sell him next summer if needed and make a profit at that amount.

Get this guy and Skriniar - then we should compete for the league.

We also have to remember he has had two ACL injuries. The last one was two years ago, but it's make sense to move forward with caution and not commit too much money up front.

The loan would allow all parties to see how things go and even at £16.5m, we could sell him at 28 years old and make a profit, if that was the situation then.

Genuinely not a fucking clue what is going on with our chase of a striker. We've got Italian media and now English media picking up that we want Milik and we are in talks, but then we've got Alasdair Gold who has been excellent this summer saying our interest has cooled and we've had JJ previously alluding to it being Carlos Vinicius.

:sour:
Also Herc was confident in regards to WW!

I confess that I know nothing about Milik. Any of you watched him much?

How does he compare in quality to the other strikers we’ve been linked with? What sort of a striker is he? What are his strengths and weaknesses?

Onions, please!

Plenty of claims from Italy that Tuttosport has reported that this deal is close to completion, if someone could find the article or quote from this, it would be appreciated as I cannot.

Tuttosport - Milik-Tottenham, closes! The details of the deal

Closing deal: Arek Milik towards Tottenhan! The news comes from Raffaele Auriemma , who on today's edition of Tuttosport provides the latest on the negotiations for the transfer of the Polish center forward to London.

" The Spurs are willing to offer him less than what Roma had proposed (4 million per season against the 5 of the Giallorossi) and the negotiation is carried out by Stefano Castagna, leader of Football Capital, that is the agency he turned to. Monday David Pantak, the historic agent of Milik. Now the negotiation has moved to London, where the entourage of the Polish striker is discussing with Daniel Levy, patron of Spurs, to find the combination that satisfies the player and Napoli, club stopped on a one-year loan and redemption at 25 million. The deal has now taken off and is close to closing ".

I'm understanding the article as, we'd like a one year loan with an obligation to buy at 25 M wages at 4M a season.

Levy in full Corona piss take mode, like a transfer window avenging angel righting the wrongs of past transfer window bids, when smug chairmen grabbed their gonads and told him to go fuck himself.

Well, who’s being fucked now, flea dicks?

Everton rumoured to be trying to sign him now.
Would get more game time there and im sure after playing in Italy Milik will have a lot if respect for Carlo...not that it matters as Ancellotti is a quality manager.
From what we are told we are speaking to a few strikers so if this goes south it seems like all our eggs are not in one basket.
