Respect to Aurier I know people grieve in different ways but to play in a prem football match so soon shows great commitment. Fair play to him.

Mourinho never won at St James' in the league and they have a knack of causing problems for us late into the season. 1-1 my prediction.

I remember back in the day Robbie Keane playing straight after his father passed away. I guess people deal with these things in different ways and for some normality is really important.

Am I right in saying we haven't won this season wearing that light blue kit?

I understand playing Aurier, if the guy wants to play because it will help him mentally after the week he has had. You have to play him. But I really wish something would have changed in the lineup. GLC needs a break, he looks exhausted at HT the last few matches.

I get what Jose is doing, playing a consistent squad to try getting players used to playing his style and playing together. But we are really risking injury/fatigue if changes do not come soon. Even HT subs would be a nice change.
HT subs unless we are having a mare will ruin the rhythm, of the team and the game.
We have 3 days rest after this game and then a further week and then season is over, I think the players are fine but do expect to see a few changes after 60 mins in this game probably lo celso and lucas will come off for Skipp and Bergwign/Lamela. Son may also get a few mins rest if we are winning comfortably... COYS.

Robbie Keane is a very level headed guy, Aurier isn’t. He’s brave wanting to play but it’s a massive risk on Jose’s part as Aurier’s at risk of losing his head

Massive respect to Aurier and hope he has a MOTM display like he had against Le Arse
