Why would he need to fake an injury when he doesn't play anyway?

If he knows he is leaving and Jose/Levy knows he is leaving you could say he is just injured to stop all of the speculation of why he isn't playing and all that jazz. I think that he truly is injured and is in our future plans but that is just my take

Seems a bit pointless with only 3 games to go. I agree, i'm sure it's genuine and I think he'll get a second season.

Again rumours spiral out of control because of our perception of a player; and injury becomes "he's protecting himself for future transfer" or "he's not playing as he wants to leave" then all of the a sudden this is taken as gospel! What if he is actually injured?

Jose has said before when he was just about fit but not 100% trusting his body to play; you would think he would hang him out to dry if he was faking an injury?

Darren Anderton was one of the players that has made the most appearances and I think you will find he would be in the top ten all time for appearances behind Perryman it was only in his later years he became available less thru injury and I believe that is because he gave so much with effort that he became vulnerable to injury .
Sorry about that but as a fan of spurs since 1951 and having seen the great and not so great if you combine Anderton,s Effort and skill he was one of our greatest players and calling him sick note because he did not play so much in his last 18 months with the club is frankly an insult the great player does not deserve and I dont know what's wrong with Ndombele but I would not mind betting if Anderton had the same problems he would make himself available .Sorry about that but rightly or wrongly I had to come to the defence of one of my own favourite players I know I seem a bit childish for defending him but people do tend to defend their personnel hero's if their reputation is slurred .

Who knows what happens behind the doors?
Maybe it is best for everyone if he is not close to the squad in the locker and at training because of bad attitude?

Not saying that is likely, but it is a possibility.

By the way Man until wanted to sign Anderton before they signed Sherringham but he remained loyal whereas Sherringham who got the chance to move because Anderton would not partly because Sherringham persuaded him to stay saying " we were near being a great club '
Well once the Anderton thing did not happen United turned to Sherringham and he could not get out the door quick enough.
AS this forum is about Ndombele hands up who think he would turn down united to stay with us ?

See this is what I am talking about,
now people are stating that the player is making himself "unavailable for selection"

Anderton was a very fine player and I loved watching him play but he was unfortunate to be prone to injury. His lack of appearances for Spurs, however, was not just over his last 18 months with the club. He was with Spurs for 12 seasons and in 7 of those (95/96; 96/97; 97/98; 99/00; 00/01; 02/03; 03;04) he played an average of just 19 games, which shows he was injured often over his whole time with us. Not his fault, of course. It was most unfortunate for the player, our club and the national team.

His average across 12 was 25. Both this average and the one you deliver were massively brought down by his injuries during the Francis years. He played the vast majority of games every season in his first three, and never fewer than half in his last 6 (even though he was older and his previous injury had impacted his athleticism). You take those three horrendous years out and suddenly his average was 28 games per season.

The only time Anderton barely played was for Francis. Aside from that spell he was more than available enough.

Really wanted to see him in our remaining games to see if he could hit some form. It’s embarrassing that he can’t get into our midfield at present. Chuck him, Skipp, Sess, Troy in to see what they can do.

Now we’ve got the NLD out of the way, I’m not that fussed about our results, just be nice to see a few get some game time.

I have looked up the records and of the hundreds of players to represent spurs Anderton is 15th on the all time list of appearances thats not to shabby to my way of thinking . Those that are saying that Ndombele has this amazing ability and are willing to give him another season in my eyes are deluded .
Some people have all the time in the world for this bloke and the rest of the time lambast half the players that can actually be bothered to turn out . If you can explain to me how a player keeps getting injured but never tackles an opponent I would like to know .If you are going to say strains etc well thats possible but he is still unavailable .
Waste of money waste of time waste of space get him out of the club as soon as and lets play one of the other players including youngsters that cannot wait to get on the pitch to represent the club . Ndombele cannot wait to get out of the club give him his wish soon please .

There's a story from early in Jose's Chelsea days (first time around). The whole squad is at a party or social and Jose causes some trouble; he tells Terry that Lampard is bad mouthing him and Lampard that Terry is doing the same. So both players square up to each other and there's a massive scene, and Jose is basically laughing in the corner.

He wanted to see if they'd stick up for themselves; see if they've got any fight in them.

It's a tactic he's used throughout his career. It's not really bullying as such, it's a test to see who will respond positively under pressure and who will crumble.

If NDombele decides to say 'Screw you Jose, this is what I can do', then we'll be seeing more of him.

Lmao sorry that’s manipulative and shit behavior
