We won because of how bad Arsenal are defensively.

Respectfully disagree. I’ve been a massive Jose critic but that was a good performance. Lively in the first half, and when we tired in the second, they stuck in, defended well, did their jobs, and took one of the chances we made on the counter. Arsenal didn’t muster a single shot after we took the lead. Very professional performance. Very deserved.

We won against Arsenal. Maybe celebrate it a bit?

we want to win!!!
But at what cost?
I thought that when we brought him in but to me watching us play like we did against Bournemouth etc for the majority of our games is just not enjoyable, sitting through 40 or so of those performances for one League Cup, I'm not bothered tbh the joy of winning a small trophy compared to the boredom of watching us play like this week in week out isn't worth it in my opinion.

If we can play more like today more regularly then fine but we all know Jose's DNA is to use a low-mid block etc.
Under Redknapp and Poch at times we played some simply breathtaking electric football, sure we missed that pragmatism at times but there were so many matches which were so enjoyable, we've now gone to the completely opposite approach, its not Spurs and its boring.

MotM overall was obviously the Arsenal keeper but I thought Moura was our MotM. Never stopped working for the team. Master stroke By Mourinho to switch him to the left to support Davies.

That was much better today. And would of said the same had we drew.

Overall, we were better on the ball...passed with more purpose and crucially had more movement ahead of the ball to provide those options.

Jose must build from this performance and use the confidence boost to kick on.

Aurier is still the massive weak link that needs sorted first.

Well done Jose though.

True, I wonder how much of a difference it would make if we got a serious upgrade on Aurier who could actually cross and pose an attacking threat. Imagine if we had TAA playing the way we do where he gets 5-10 good crossing positions each game.

Of course I’m happy we won but let’s not kid ourselves he still needs to go. Should’ve done changes earlier, luckily Arsenal didn’t create big chances

You can’t play every game like this and expect to be a top team, it doesn’t work anymore

Of course he did some good things as well like playing a 4-4-2 today and bringing Skipp on in the end

2.2xg to 0.7. We deserved to win. Since you lot are all so quick to criticise our manager, I hope you are similarly fast to praise him today. The 4-4-2 was class

Lol everyone can ‘doh’ me but it’s the truth lol, “give him time” time for what?
And then the same persons will be saying Jose out in a few months. Same way people now realises it wasn’t fully Poch fault we played so bad

At least the amazon documentary can end on this result.
In the chairman's cut version going out only in the States this match will be deemed as the Super Bowl and the season ends with Spurs winning the World Series?

The problem with Jose is that he is such a big name, has a big personality and has been around for along time, most people have their opinion made of him already. Since he has started at Spurs, all I hear is "he is going to tear down the clubhouse" "enjoy boring football" and not even Spurs fans are giving him a chance. That's the worst part.

Biggest manager this club has ever had in terms of winning things and fans act like he's not good enough.

Give him time. Forget his past and act like he is a new manager that needs new players and time to put in his tactics. Today was only a glimpse of what he can turn this team into once he has his players. The football might seem boring at times but will also be exciting. Especially when we are winning trophies.

No matter what anyone wants to say about "I'd rather be excited than win" bullshit. You will be partying in the streets like all of us if Jose leads us to a major trophy.
