I actually think we are a little desperate for more intelligent attackers. Willian is that.

I agree that age and salary are not an advantage though.

I'm seriously worried about our attack. Against United, Bergwijn was the only one who was doing the right things, against West Ham we were wasteful and Lucas struggled to get involved and against Sheff Utd, the whole lot of them made terrible decisions on and off the ball.

We need a more intelligent attacker

Agreed he would be a good addition for us, but I would rather go and get someone that could be there for the longer term, Don’t really know what lucas best position is to be honest, I would like the front 3 of Son Kane Bergwijn and none of this interchanging stuff like the Sheff United game they just all got in each other way

There is nothing called long term or short term player in football. Look at the impact of james milner for liverpool. Was he short term? You have to have varieties players in the squad. Our attack lacks intelligent heads like Willian and if he can give us 3 years over the next 3 season, then so be it. It's not like foyth, aurier has given us a lot !!!

Originally I wasn’t for willian but I might be now. You can have enough good players. At the moment he looks like he can effect games more than some of ours.

Agree that we could use some more intelligence in the attacking third now that Eriksen has gone.

Willian could be a good short term solution.

We have a character issue, and the fact that this player has been captain of a PL team at 24 makes me think he's the type of player we should be targeting.

Be interesting to see how Hojbjerg plays out. I think he's precisely the type of player Poch allegedly turned down when Levy offered, as in, quite handy but not next level.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

The way our fans are talking we don't have any cash at all ... I'm surprised we've not called in the administrators.
I guess only because of the stadium debt plus DL had to take out the loan (after calling our situation the most challenging of his tenure) and we still don’t know when the stadium will be fully opened again. The finances of the club are pretty heavily dependent on the stadium revenue.

And Covid has delivered a massive kick in the nuts on that scenario.

Many seem underwhelmed by this one but if he was still on the fringes of the Bayern team we'd be screaming our for it! Could be a smart bit of business this
