Lloris

Dier Toby Sanchez Sessengnon

Lo Celso Skipp

Bergwijn Ndombele Son

Kane

subs : gazza, Vertonghen, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Lucas

Have Dier in the Davies tucked in full back role and let Sess be a de facto winger who can (hopefully) produce some quality when he gets forward. Skipp deserves a chance where others have failed miserably and he at least shows some defensive nous and awareness. Ndombele is, along with Lo Celso, is the only player who looks to play quick, forward passes I’d love to see him get some time behind Kane, Son and Stevie

Having said all of this I fully expect the same XI as Thursday with Dele in for Lucas and it will be another experience akin to pulling teeth

LoCelso should be the #10 position forming the point of a triangle in midfield. That means 2 from winks or skipp or sissoko behind him.

Mourinho needs to find some balance in the side. I thought he at least picked players in the right spots, which was key to his bounce. Even that is sliding backward now. Putting moura or Bergwijn in that role against sheffield wasn't great.

Fuck Aurier doing his RW thing. On the balance of things it achieves nothing as it leaves us defensively suspect. His attacking output doesn’t balance that out whatsoever.

Fuck having too many midfielders and attackers with no technically ability or brains. All the brains and all the technical ability please. Let the defenders do their job!

This is my team. But I think Jose will give start to winks ahead of Lo celso in this game and Lo celso will come after 60+ minutes. Also Vertonghen can be a very good LB as his crossing is better than Davies. I would not want to break the partnership of Sanchez and Dier just yet. Lets see how they respond after their horrible game against Shefield. The reaction is really important and Jose really needs to know what are their reaction.

I agree with this team completely. It's time to give Sess a run at left back, Skipp a chance in DM and also Ndombele a run of games to see if they are going to be useful for us next season. Almost like a 6 game trial. If they fail we know that they will need to be sold/loaned. Right now they are just taking up space in the squad but of no real use to the first 11 on the pitch.

Yeah it's a real team for next season. I definitely think we should also stick with Sanchez and Dier as the pairing as there's no future in Toby and Vertonghen now, and Tanganga is injured. I don't see how chopping and changing them again will resolve the inconsistency.

Yea the future is not Toby and Jan so no point bringing them back after one poor game. They haven't been great this season anyway and have both looked well past their best.

One thing that is annoying me with Jose is he seems insistent in playing 4231 but picking the wrong players in the 10 position. I got a feeling this trend is going to continue but I hope I'm wrong and he sees the light.

Everton play 4-4-2 I think still so hopefully this would match up well vs them. Now that CL football is out the window would just like us to see if we can be solid defensively for 6 games in a row.

Aurier has to go into the bin, if we chasing wins and going for CL i would still play him but its over now, we need to look beyond the short term and we have to get someone with his attitude out of the club.
What attitude is that may I ask?

I don't want to see only 1 full/wing back attacking any more. Get both fullback pushing on. Not sure if we have a better option at RB than Fernandes is Aurier has had his head turned.

Will never happen, and we will see another game out cm goes missing..

Sissoko....Winks
............GLC..........

This needs to be in the middle of the park. Stick with the back 4 despite the recent clusterfuck. Put Bergwijn and Son out wide and Kane up top.

We have lots to sort out, including getting Ndombele in the side, but let's start with getting a foothold in midfield again.

Is said a while ago most managers have a player that is a weak spot for them but they cannot see what everyone else sees .
I notice that almost all the teams suggested has no Moura in them but I think Moura will be starting as he is Jose's weak spot .
I like his effort but he is just not good enough also just my opinion of course but I wonder what age the people that select Moura are I would not be surprised if they are among the youngest and are attracted by the flashy type player ( I await abuse ) for this opinion .

I think he's trying to see what firepower he's got at his disposal ahead of next season. Needs to assess his effective options and sort them from the ineffective ones.

I'm happy for Jose to experiment to the end of the season.

Calmed down a bit now & whilst I haven't got a clue on what Jose might do now that CL has certainly gone & EL looks unlikely, I'd hope he'd start to look to next season & start giving the likes of Skipp & Sessegnon a chance to show whether they are able to form to a good level in the Prem.

Sadly it looks as if the likes of MU, Chelski & Arse are miles ahead of us & they are all bringing through youngsters with a great deal of success.

As for Winks he's too lightweight to be consider a DM & I only see a place for him in the team alongside a strong DM.
