Undoubtedly that goal settled us and confidence on the ball was much more visible but still feel we could do with a bit more guile with Lo Celso.

Sanchez looking decidedly shaky but liked how Dier grew into the game - think he might well cement his place at the back from here on out.

Kane meanwhile still very much below par output but his mere presence on the pitch is enough to warrant enough attention which others (Bergwijn, Son etc) can exploit.

Most organised we have looked for ages, clear to see a few months with Jose has helped the players understand their roles a bit better.

Sanchez still scares me shitless, constantly rash and i'm unsure he'll ever grow out of that. Thought Dier looked really calm and strong and the better CB.

Add some better full backs to this team, a solid partner for Dier and a DM. Then i think we can start to really compete again.

Usual story with Lamela, buzzing all around the place, will show form and then miss 6 games. If only he could ever stay fit. Just shows to me how much Dele doesn't work in the 4-3-3 and that if we continue to play it he will really struggle to start. Would love to see Ndombele behind those 3 with 25 minutes to go.

It's clear and has been clear since the 1st minute the organisation and defensive structure has improved.

Manchester United are actually passing it and moving around really well, which is causing issues but our low block is in place and hasn't made too many positional mistakes.

Winks and Sissoko are doing well defensively.

The issue is when we receive the ball in transition, a lot of time our players burst forward but there's not too many players in close proximity should that player have no avenue to live into, therefore we come back or lose the ball.

I imagine with Ndombele or Lo Celso that improves as they are better in close spaces than Winks and Sissoko.

I reckon on 15 minutes we'll see a change midfield, maybe Lamela for Ndombele.

Agree with this. Lamela is marmite - some hate him for being reckless but I love him for being on the right side of aggression and passion

love his passion and aggression and he has flashes of quality but he needs to long on the ball a lot of the time to make a pass imo
