But what if the total cost of the individual games is less than buying the whole lot as a package? And you then factor you pay all up front?

If I had a business, I’d love customers like you. Easy money.
As I’ve stated..not the reason I buy a season ticket...and we’ll leave it that.

Surprise surprise. Even when you are losing out financially you refuse to see how he’s taking the fans for a ride yet again. Would he be doing it that way if remaining games were all cat C? He wouldn’t let you keep a penny.
I see that the club is making a decision which the wording of our contract with it doesn’t legally oblige it to make, and for the sake of an extra £20/25 I’m not going to get my knickers in a twist.

The club is going to refund significantly more than £15m, at a time that it’s also making no revenue from merchandise and other match day extras, is going to lose out on a huge proportion of the tv revenue due, and is still paying full player salaries, which amount to about the same sum being refunded every ten weeks. I for one don’t see what there is to admonish.

It’s not an exceptional act, there’s nothing to applaud, the club is doing the right thing, but equally there’s no ‘taking fans for a ride’.

Anyway, given how much you detest the club and it’s behaviour, I suppose you’ll be taking the moral high ground and ceasing to give it your hard earned money when renewals come around, whenever that may be.

Thats irrelevant. Season ticket holders pay for 19 Games , not 4 Cat A 5 Cat and 9 cat c games

pretty sure the value of your season ticket and what you paid upfront is for the exact price of 4 Cat A 5 Cat and 9 cat c games

Buying a ST is cheaper than individual matches. My ST costs me 995 and every individual match it would be 1,115

Understand being pissed at the principle of it all but let’s be honest it’s just an extra £20 (less than the cost of one beer at each game).

There are far bigger things to worry about than an extra £20 hell who even knows when the next season is going to start anyway.

Me neither. If later down the line I change my mind then all I’ll do the next couple of times I go is not buy any food or drink at the stadium. Then I’ll be level as I usually get some refreshments at the ground each game.

Let's get one thing right here, I absolutely do not detest the club.

People are losing their jobs left, right and centre and Tottenham for many are a major part of their life. There are many who make sacrifices to go to watch Spurs and buy ST's. It's not right what he is doing. The cost of running the club is immaterial in all of this. It's unfortunate for sure but it is for almost every business around the world. Look at the other clubs for comparison.

As I mentioned before if all remaining games were cat C, he wouldn't be doing it this way. I'm receiving less than I paid so I believe that to be 'taking fans for a ride'. I have two ST's, the overall difference over 5 games is approx £50, the price of a kit for my 7 yr old boy. I'm sure he wouldn't just give my son a kit 'on the house' so why does he expect me and all the other ST holders to waive an amount that is not insignificant for many.

But just like those that support and defend BoJo in the way the governemnt have handled Covid there will be people who defend Levy no matter what.

At this moment in time I will not be renewing my ST's that I've had since 1997. Plenty of tickets available for every match and I would assume even more will be next season whenever it gets going again as the economic crisis hits many.

There seems to be some confusion between the accumulative cost of matches and the cost of a season ticket.

Personally I'll be leaving the remaining credit against next season and requesting a seat move further towards the front of the east upper.

Whether I renew beyond that is entirely up to whether I'm still enjoying the football or not come the end of next season.

I'm not sure that's true, is it? I found it easier to get tickets at the old WHL tbh. Might he due to new stadium syndrome and lots of people wanting to go, which will possibly dimish over time I guess, plus like you say economic reasons may further reduce.

Well as someone who also has had his season ticket as long as you and in terms of the sacrifice you describe travel from further away each match (including midweek) than a lot of fans, with an income they really doesn’t justify it, I really do not see your point of view. That’s fine, but you really didn’t need to engage with my original post so confrontationally.

A quick story of Spurs penny pinching for you: the year at Wembley which should’ve been at Spurs, my dad turned 65 after the deadline for the concession prices. Each match, therefore, he was refunded his season ticket at 100% of what he paid. However, after he turned 65 at the end of September, while being refunded 100% ticket price for each match played at Wembley, he was only charged 50% to purchase his own seat each time. The club could have quite legitimately charged the same that it refunded, it was a seat equivalent to that which he occupied at WHL after all, but instead he ended up attending the majority of that season until we moved back to actual WHL at half price, even though his birthday was a month too late for the ST concession cut off.

Taken for a ride indeed.

On the exchange a day or two before every game you will see quite a few tickets.

Is it just Park Lane that has safe standing rails?
For now it's the front of the Park Lane and the away section. They were however talking about adding more before this whole crisis kicked off, I don't know if that's still on the cards or not.

I’m in Paxton Lower. I’m sure I’ve seen random railings there.

How
Maybe I’m living in a different era, but when I buy a season ticket I don’t do so on the basis that I’m getting value for money on category a-c games but to support my team.

The club has done the right thing as most people could do with the cash and I’m not sure how or when next season is going to start so will just buy the ST when that’s for sure.

The move thing is encouraging. I’m in north upper row 19 and like it but the view is slightly better further down and having gone to one game (Olympiakos) in south lower I’d like to give that a go.

How likely do you reckon the relocation is?

Anyone else submitted a refund request and then had the table in the confirmation email be full of gibberish, like so:

I would've expected to see the details I entered in the top part...

No idea my mate. Me and the guy I sit next to (I should probably say friend we shared a bed together in Madrid last summer...anyway) submitted the form and said to sit in safe standing area- presumably and hopefully in south lower.

I’m easy though if we stay where we are that’s absolutely fine though the guy the other side of me is a bit of an obnoxious bell end.
