In terms of the AJ fight, Eddie Hearn will want it at The Lane. Aside from the fact it's a better stadium, the first ever pro boxing fight his Dad (Barry Hearn) put on was The Lane in 1987 with Frank Bruno, we have history and Hearn has said before it would be a nice nod to his old man.
20th June at WHL vs Pulev. I have had it confirmed.

Wonder if they'll announce it post Wilder-Fury. Would be great exposure in front of a US audience in Las Vegas

You do wonder who plans their schedule putting Hammond's programs about our stadium on while Spurs fans are all watching the CL game on another side.

Except moi. I was watching the game until 5 minutes after they scored the penalty whilst recording it and the “Big” program. Then all my electricity went off. Still waiting for the bloke to come and fix it
The RCD tripped out and won’t switch back on FFS
Recording won’t have worked either. Just hope they repeat it sometime.

I feel that maybe I should give a little longer to judge, but well it is close to a year since the new stadium was opened and I can’t help but conclude that the service for food/drinks is shit.

Which is a shame as I think the quality/choice of food and drink is pretty good for a football stadium.

If you are there very early then it’s not too bad, but any less than an hour before kick off and it’s a complete ball ache. The bottomless pint thing is nothing more than gimmick imo. Great in theory, put every time I queue at least one of them breaks..... and of course they can’t just say “sorry, Amstel is off” they have to use another one or spend an age trying to fix it. Meaning instead of serving they just stand around with rolls of tissue soaking up the flood of beer while we all stand around like lemons.

I just refuse to believe that in practise it would not be quicker to have beer either just bottled or on old fashioned draught, with staff who have worked a bar before.

That and of course people ordering 5/6 beers at a time or a 3 course bloody meal including family snack packs.

Anyway, amazing stadium, annoying food/drink experience.

Cant argue with any of that. The experience when they are busy is horrendous but I cannot blame the servers

If they paid the living wage and didn’t rely (on the whole) on crap agency staff then you’ll never resolve the issues

Can have the best food, most outlets but if the staff turnover is 99% every other week and people can’t use the tills/haven’t been shown properly/trained for long enough or don’t know where anything else is etc etc then the whole service goes to shit

I bet the service in Galvins upstairs in the posh seats is fantastic!

Could be the same downstairs if they really cared about the great unwashed

Actually think the food has got worse over the last month or two. Certainly not up to the standard it was when the stadium first opened.
Bizarrely, I think it's got better haha! Especially Chicken House. Sausage rolls aren't as good now as they were when it first opened though.

I've never had an issue with service, always found they have coped with the queues etc quite well. Always manage to get what I want, without fuss and the staff are always polite.

I'm with you but I really think it must depend on where you sit. I've seen people really complain about it and when I usually get to the stadium the first two levels in the South stand are always rammed. But I head up to level 3 and there's always minimal queues at the bars there, I've probably never queued more than 5 mins.

However did once queue at the Beavertown brewery and was there a good 15-20 mins so I think it massively varies around the stadium

I've not had a bad experience really, a small queue maybe but it'd be a bit much to ask to be able to walk up to an empty counter. I do think they could line a few up before hand then at least you start ahead of the rush.

Very true.

I've sat;
North upper and lower
NW lower corner
NE upper corner
South middle and upper
West upper

And I would say it's pretty consistant throughout. I do hear a lot of moaning in the queues though - Maybe people are a lot more impatient than me?

When I go to the ground, I fully expect to have to queue for food and beers given the amount of people the stadium holds and becuase of the facilites the stadium has and how a lot more people, including myself now go straight to the ground rather than go to the pub. ie, it fills up earlier.

Maybe other aren't prepared so much or still not used to the transition from WHL or Wembley.

I'm East upper for the Norwich game - Maybe that's where the bad service is

I can only speak about the East Lower as I’m a ST holder and it’s the only place I’ve sat.

Service is slooooow, unless like I said you are there over an hour before kick off. Having said that, I’m not the most patient of people, but I see no point in having to queue for over 20 mins for a beer if I then have to neck it in 10 mins before kick off. Others probably don’t care as the beer seems to be their priority.

Maybe I’ve just been unlucky with the bars/food places down there, but 9/10 one of the bottomless beer things has issues at some point while I’m queuing.

Sod queuing 20 mins tbf. I've probably queued 5-10 at the most?

The pain with the bottomless thing is the idiots who want to stand there and film the beer being 'poured'
