Am i missing something about the Dybala situation? From what I remember, we busted our asses trying to get that done and it fell apart because of stupid legalities over licensing issues.

How in the hell is that on Levy?

not bashing on levy, but he would had surely known about image rights before the approach was made, thats why a lot of fans saw it as PR.

How do you propose we sign one in the summer then?

Perhaps in the summer more and better players will be available who may believe they can compete for a regular 1st team place. Perhaps Levy would rather not blow £25m+ on a player that won't be quite good enough, will be hard to shift on, and whose cost will make a summer signing even more difficult to accommodate.

Who knows?

I know we always like to assume the worst, that Levy is simply to tight or too stupid or too unambitious to buy the players we need. But there are other explanations, and in the end we choose which guesses we prefer.

We do indeed. Hope springs eternal (y).

Not that’s obvious and Jose himself said we need a striker. It’s been clear for a longtime the transfer strategy is not set by the manager.

I'm talking about the signings we've made. You state we don't need them. You have no idea what the long term tactical and squad building plans of Jose are. It's not for you to state we don't need them. Anyway I value my access so will leave it there.

Will give little insight close of window. Hopefully will make sense. Will name players (to a limit).
If I change my name to ‘limit’ today, does that mean you’ll tell me Herc?

edit: sorry, no questions. Please ignore the above and replace with:

“if I change my name to ‘limit’ today, maybe Herc might tell me the players”

I refuse to be disappointed with this window even if we don't get a striker in. We have got rid of Eriksen and Rose and brought in two young, talented players. That's decent.

What good striker is going to come in for 4 months and then play second fiddle to Kane? Morata said it him self "Why would I come when you have Kane".
He wouldn’t. The idea would be that Kane would play less and rotate with the new striker, like other clubs do, instead of running an increasingly injury prone player into the ground like we always do.

Yep :(

Happy with Bergwijn and Fernandes, but having a backup to Kane to make our forward play work whilst he's off is key.

but haven't cured any problem areas, its a start but not decent imo.

There must be some non-homegrown strikers in China looking for a game. I don't follow their football so could not name any. Sort of clever deal DL has conjured up before.

Assume this is a real bad time to fire up the Weghorst Wagon?

What other main striker rotates on a regular basis? When you have a goal scoring striker they play 90% of the time we have options to rotate.
