OG? Oh dear. While I'm not 100% opposed to this move, as it is purely pragmatic, and designed to fill in a hole for a few months, I'm also curious as to why Chelsea would sanction the move? Why potentially 'strengthen' us? Where's the logic in that? Unless, it's some genius Roman Abra, Trojan Horse strategy. Get OG into our first team and have him score own goals. Waste chances. Tackle our players as they are about to shoot, and try to injure as many as they can in training. And then Roman will pay him 10M for his work. This is the type of evil genius you only see in a Bond movie.

Funny what a few weeks does to you. I can only imagine the fallout had we been after OG at the start of the month, but leave it until the last few days of the window and everyone is gagging for him!

Jose plays mind games. Just wondering if his statements about Parrot may be half honest but also somewhat of a gauntlet to get him working super hard. The suggestion was JT was a template with his attitude and application. Maybe Jose was trying to light a fire under the lad?

People have to stop banging on about Parrot he’s 17. How many 17yo have made an impact in the prem, let alone a team with CL aspirations. Giroud is exactly the kind of deal we should do for Parrots development. 18 months and he’ll be in a better place to fight for a place - bring in a 23yo now and he might never get the chance. Giroud in the mean time offers experience and a target and I’d take it from the options in press and coming out of the itk regarding those being offered to us.
