Great points. Thought was impressed with his tenacity, anticipation of ball movement and his vision. .One concern was how often he went to ground as he might not get away with that in the EPL. Given all the above, that maybe like complaining about the mole on Cindy Crawford's face.

Not a finished product but looks like a player who can put his mark on a game with great upside.

Cindy Crawford asked me to come up to her hotel room once.

But she wasn't a DM or a RB so I told her to get lost.

I think most people feel his not what we need.

Anyway Jose has a good technical staff behind him and knows the Portugal market better than most so lets wait and see....really hope Skipp won't be impeded ( Also its great to see us signing players)

At this point I don't care who gets impeded, to be honest.

Our midfield needs an intervention. If this signing is part of that, then fine.

Lovely when our academy players get a chance but they need to fight for starting places just like anyone else.

If the guys hardly played this season , plus not very experienced yet still, is he actually able to come straight into the first team within a week? Right now we dont need players that will be good in 12 to 18 - 24 months, we need people right now to get stuck in straight away and make an immediate impact and difference. Due to to his very much lack of game time this season (only having one proper full season behind him) and still very experienced im not sure he is what we need right now , at this very exact moment in time.

People who make these videos should be hanged. Death by firing squad is too quick for them, it should be slow and painful.

We've wanted an understudy for Eriksen for a while now but now we're replacing Eriksen with Lo Celso. Maybe this is an understudy for Lo Celso which can only be a good thing. Plus a loan means we don't use our budget for other signings this month.

So what happens if he becomes world class in the next 1,5 years, and someone like City offers him crazy money, is there some kind of compensation or something? Not that I'm suspicious or anything

Welcome Gedson - two ways to look at this imo:

1) An opportunistic move for a young talented player who has qualities Jose likes, allowing us to essentially replace Sissoko without any real financial risk.

2) A move to get another body in midfield for no huge outlay, thereby allowing Levy to not sign another midfielder who might have been more of a risk.

Will have to wait until the end of the window to see but either way intrigued to see how Gedson develops.
Could be a really astute signing if he fulfills the potential he was showing a few years ago.

Exactly this.

Loans with options to buy seem a smart way for us to bolster the squad immediately while freeing up the transfer budget to be spent on additional players. Also gives us an easy get-out if he doesn't work out.

Stealing a player of dirty spammers isnt really something to brag about, it very concerning to the calibre of clubs were fighting against int the market

They're not far off where Leicester and Wolves were a couple of years ago. A few signings and suddenly they both looks massively different.
