Seems slightly at odds with the portrayal of him as a trouble maker constantly leaking to the french press. Some of us (including myself) probably need to learn a lesson here as at least this interview shows a level headed, self aware man who wants to give his best.
Which is strangely a complete contrast to what the itk's put out when we were trying to offload him in the summer. I try and take the players as i see them. If they are trying hard on the pitch and it's not coming off you can get behind them. Lack of effort is difficult to support.

So much quality in his game when he plays and with Hojbjerg behind him he doesn't have to blow himself out coming back too much. Can't wait for Lo Celso to play with the him the 1-2's will be quality.

Ndombele out for tomorrow's match — it sounds precautionary to me. Hopefully he's fit for Brighton this weekend.

An Argentine in London. I'm still learning the language, patience guys.

An argentine in London? With the username GLC10. Are you guys thinking what I’m thinking, nah it couldn’t be could it? Goldie looking chain are making a comeback and are changing their genre to Latin slow dance!

I did try to tell yall that in French interviews it was clear he was a good-natured level-headed guy who was unconcerned about the hysteria and was calm about his future here.

When you have an insight into someone in their own language and their own words you can see how much football talk is hot air and drama. That includes itk, even if shared in good faith.

If he comes on at half time and he doesn't play like a tranquilised slug we don't lose that game.

We were absolutely crying out for some flair, inspiration and control in the middle of the park.

Even more surprising we took off GLC who actually can do that, especially with someone like PEH behind him to give him more freedom

It's great that Jose sees his importance, but at the same time it's not good that we're so reliant on him to have anything creative in midfield. We desperately need Lo Celso up to speed and in the team.

I think getting Hojberg, lo celso and Ndombele playing together and getting used to each other ASAP is crucial to our season.

GLC doesn’t look right to me. Was no worse than anyone else yesterday but miles off where he has been. I wonder if he was always planning to take of GLC anyway so he could play Sunday too but can’t see it being anything other than Hojbjerg, Sissoko and Ndombele at this point.

If it was not planned to take him off then why not give him the chance to improve with Kane/Son/PEH around him who have a better understanding and are more solid? GLC in form or not is always good for a moment or two of brillance to open the opponents up. Winks does just not have this ability to see the passes GLC can play.

My only concern is it was a fitness thing. Winks doesn’t have the defensive ability, positioning, vision, tenacity, short passing, long passing, goal threat or dribbling that GLC has and at no point was he playing better than GLC yesterday. So it’s either fitness or saving him for Sunday. Can’t see winks being involved.

In short Winks offers nothing :)

I really hope he and gio start to play together. Gio played in a deeper role on Thursday, and tanguy has been utilized in a more advanced role so far this season (although I personally think these roles should be reversed). They should be able to play together. I hop Mourinho sees this. They need develop a relationship on the pitch, so we can be more adept at creating chances in the build up, rather than relying on counter attacking.
