Exactly. It was wrong then and wrong now. Unsurprisingly Arsenal are the other team to have done it.
Arsenal vs. Portsmouth back in 2010 (I think) was the first time neither side fielded a British player in a PL game.

Edit: it was English, not British. Both teams had at least one British player start the game, and both teams brought an English player off the bench.

Chelski has gotten their man to keep their poor defense in order. Wonder where Kepa is heading now. He wasn't in the squad yesterday

Bit of a whiff about Chomp's move in general. They're investigating his Italian exam he sat to get citizenship for the Juve move, as it was allegedly pre-marked and he was fed the questions in advance or something.

Surely you're not insinuating that Suarez is a CHEAT!!!!

What's surprising (to me) is that his Mrs is Italian but he apparently only has a basic grasp of the language. Doesn't give a good impression of his personality outside football!

Slight improvement on Hannibal Lechter who I think remained a bachelor.

Not to mention that it's easy for a Spanish speaker to learn and understand Italian, and vice versa.

That's what I mean really. It suggests to me that he must have had absolutely no interest in communicating with her in that way.

Different if you wife is Korean or has an unusual/difficult native language, but yeah Spanish -> Italian you'd think it'd be reasonably straightforward.

Godin's just joined Cagliari for free as Inter have let him leave for nothing.

Wasn't he the guy that United were struggling to sign in Mourinho's final window?

Godin has had a fantastic career, and arguably one of the best centre backs in the world over the last 10 years

And he was arguably Inter's best CB in the last ten games or so last season. He was playing at RCB, which led Skriniar to the bench. We should be thankful for Godin, then?

Don’t think they’ll be able to move him at the moment and they won’t get even remotely close to what they paid for him.

Mendy just screams stopgap. They’ll make some attempts to try and build Kepa back up while likely alternating between Kepa and Mendy - which I fully expect to fail.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see them push him out next year and go hard for Oblak or another high profile keeper.
