there are some people in this world who should just never, ever, shave their head.

Ashton Agar is definitely one of them.

Really?? For fuck sake. No doubt it'll be Broad and Woakes with Overton first change then.
You think so? I'd have thought two of those three plus Stokes would have been enough and we'd play three spinners. But then again, this is the England team so one can never be sure what they are thinking. Root will probably throw the new ball to his buddy, Bairstow :D

Normally in Sri Lanka I would agree with you, but I get the impression these wickets wont be the usual bunsen burners that you would expect due to the fact Sri Lanka don't have any good spinners at the moment.

I may have heard that on some broadcast/podcast or I could have completely made it up to sound knowledgeable. I really have no idea.

Ignore me anyway, Overton is not in the squad and Saq Mahmood has been called up to replace Wood. So likely to be Broad, Woakes, Curran, Stokes as the seamers then Leach and Root as the spinners.

i think they like Overton when it looks bouncy and quicker - so more Australia than Sri Lanka. feel like they’re lining him up for the Tremlett role in the next Ashes series.

The attack for SL looks so one paced, I hope if they go with Mahmood, they really let him lose. he can definitely bowl 90mph.

India vs. Australia in a cricket final is kinda like the Iran-Iraq war. It's a pity both sides can't lose.

I lost interest when England were dumped out because of rain and they bent over backwards to get Australia's game played straight afterwards, at one stage it looked to me like it was pissing down but they stayed on. They may as well have handed the trophy to them right then and there. And as for the no reserve day stuff, how fucking ridiculous. It's probably a touch unfair but it just feels that this was won more off the field than on it.

I'm never a fan of suggestions that high level sport is bent but this came as close as I can remember to convincing me.

But then again, it's Australia so............. :D

Let me state once and for all, England should have had the chance to make their way into the final. That being said, and please don't call me an ass or anything else, why is it that the Indian cricket fed can call so many shots in world cricket?

When they last played a series in Australia we had to forget the usual first test in Brisbane. Why? They felt they could not win it. The early women's T20 games that India played were on spinning wickets, hence the performance.

The game was played on home soil. Yes we were lucky due to weather. But we showed we are the best cricket team in the world yet again.

Five of the last six doesn't lie, and to do it with your best player out for 6 months says something.

And these girls are so well known due to the level of support they have. Long may it continue.

Bollocks. The only thing missing was the sandpaper.

That semi-final day was a travesty. If the Aussies game was first they have played it even if it meant them wearing fucking snorkels.

:playful:
