I’m no medical expert but from what I’ve read and couple people I’ve spoken to I can’t believe the injury was as bad as made out. From the first reports and having an operation the general recovery would expect someone to be on crutches for 4-6 weeks. Maybe the operation was more precautionary and slight repair than a full repair of a ruptured hamstring. He just couldn’t do that stretching 19 days after a serious operation.
You’re right that something doesn’t add up. Personally I thought it very strange we came out and announced the operation etc so publicly.

It’s worth noting that with our players, operations are usually the last resort. We usually wait to see if injuries heal properly without the need for them. Eg. Numerous players.

Absolutely. Fuck this season off if it means he’s rushing back at any point during in it. Longevity is the key here

He is looking slimmer. That’s a positive imo.

The problem is he won't as he wants to play in the Euros so even if we don't rush him back he will rush himself back.

I wonder if the news yesterday on Son means we might rush Kane back. There was a podcast somewhere of someone saying Kane’s dad had said he would be back early March. Did that ever get refuted?

April was the original expected return date just for training, with the possibility of playing 1-2 games before the end of the season. Be great if he got himself fit before that to help us get that 3rd place and CL Final.

The last thing Mourinho said was "the Leicester match", which is our penultimate game.

His dad said he'd be back sooner and it did look like he was doing some pretty intensive stuff before the winter break so here's hoping. If it's a case of rushing him back before he's ready though, forget it.

Yeah, he put out two videos, one at the end of Jan and another a week later that certainly didn't look like he was 2/2.5 months away. So as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks I think we can trust Mourinho is talking his normal bollocks about return dates.

I think what Mourinho is doing ( smartly imo) is just erring on the side of caution. Just like he is doing with Son.

And I’d rather he did that, as opposed to just peddling the vague we hope he’ll be back soon line.

We had under Poch's reign " he will be out 4 to 6 weeks " and us fans interpreted that as 4 to 6 months because the timeline given for injuries were always misleading and giving fans false hope . As has been said I would prefer the exact opposite that 4 to 6 months could be back within 4 to 6 weeks . Lets all just hope sooner rather than later but I hold on to the fact that Kane and Son are warriors and will try their utmost to get back sooner rather than later.

I’m not sure what’s going on but something needs to change.

We need two strikers and Kane needs to play less - for him and the team. If he don’t like it, sell him.

We can’t go on season after season with just this bloke Up front.

Fucking sort it out.

What about Harrys dad saying he will be back in the beginning of next month? When and where did he say that?

We need him back to stand any chance of getting top 5. We are so lame that opposition know they can press us high up without fear of us creating anything other than half chances and set pieces.

I dont think we will because if he has any sense he'll be off.
Kane always said he'd stay if Spurs show the same ambition as him. Looking at how the squad has been continually watered down how can anyone say we're progressing and not regressing and keep a straight face?
We haven't improved one position on the pitch in 5 years!
If he really wants to win things he'll go and earn more as well.
What would you do?

I think we will get one more season - but you have a point.

I hope so.
But if someone came in this summer with a big offer I think he'd seriously think about going.
Levy might not let him but we know how keeping an unhappy player works out.
Edit. If Kane went I still wouldnt be 100% confident we'd bring in a striker lol.

It was some journalist (on the radio) who said Kane's dad had told him that he was ahead of schedule, so not exactly from the horse's mouth.
