I think the important part of what you’ve said is “If you’re blaming Aurier”, which I wasn’t, he was one of a few, as you have said yourself. You’ve created an entire argument out of something I haven’t said. Well done. And still no agenda.
I used the goal as an example of a player (Rose) who was much, much, much worse than Aurier today and you still tried to add some blame Aurier’s way.

It’s pretty clear you have an agenda against Aurier. Your original post reads as much. The fact you felt the need to dig Aurier out when he wasn’t nearly as bad as 3/4’s of the squad today says enough.

Frankly I don’t care how you feel about him but to sit here and deny it when you clearly took your time writing a post slamming him is unneeded and (tbf) idiotic, considering he wasn’t *that* bad today.

This is the frustrating thing, people will now fucking hate the back 3 because of the football we saw today but arguably given our lack of defensive midfielder it's a necessary evil. What's not necessary though is to not play the players who actually look to make things happen with their passing namely Lamela and Ndombele as others are not in the squad atm. I thought the structure added a bit more solidity to us but as you say the fullbacks were terrible first half, Aurier improved second half.

I'd say the 4-2-3-1 admittedly looked a lot better however although I'm concerned by how unbalanced our two cm's will be regardless if we can't get a DM up to speed.
I didn't necessarily say the full backs were terrible just that we weren't getting balls in from out wide, even when they were closed down and passed to the support players they didn't do it either and nobody else was moving giving options either.

A couple of points: Kane needs to be dropped or rested, we really need to play ndombele as a starter with Lamela and aurier is an appalling footballer

Why do we insist on playing high balls up to Lucas every time he plays? why does it take us 4 or 5 passes to get to the halfway line even when there isn't an opponent in our half? Why do we always wait until our wingbacks have two players marking them before we shift the ball to them? Why when the wingback has to pass to the supporting player doesn't that player swing in a quick cross?

Not sure what to make of anything anymore.

How Rose continues to be picked I don't know. Rose should be nowhere near this team, his legs and head are gone. Davies is better, but Poch keeps picking Rose, why?

Toby and Jan were both woeful and yet he hooked Sanchez at half time? Two players who have put in repeatedly poor performances and as things stand, won't be here next season.

Lucas cannot play against teams that sit deep. He was a waste of a player first half.

Unsure why there was so much stick for Dele today, sure things weren't always coming off, but he was always the one who was going to make something happen.

Completely at a loss. Can't work out what Poch is trying to do, and why players are playing so poorly.

It’s honestly mind-boggling.

All Poch ever wants to talk about is starting a new chapter or having this painful rebuild and yet he’s continually picking players who publicly or privately have stated they wish to leave over players who want to play for Spurs.

You’re bang on with Sanchez. I didn’t understand the sub at the time and I still don’t. He was probably the better defender out of the three as well.

Only reason I can imagine is because of the yellow card.

What I saw out there is a group of players woefully short on confidence and lacking in trust of each other, the manager and themselves. That results in players being timid, distracted and guileless.

Then there's a manager who seemingly wants to die by the sword. Clearly he has learnt the grand sum of zero in the past month. Nor does he seem remotely willing to be brave. Which I thought was his thing. Being brave. But with that lineup and with those players I only see a manager that is either studdorn to the point of recklessness or a coach scared shitless trying to play it safe. Neither is a good look.

What really sticks in my craw is how obvious it is that we are past the point of no return. This train left the station a few months back, yet for some reason Levy is still slouching on the platform waiting for a train that will never arrive.

The right and brave thing to do now is put Poch out of his misery. And start thinking about how to salvage something that is starting to resemble a lost and potentially disastrous season.

how many freekicks should we have had in their penalty area for Foster holding onto the ball for more than 6 seconds? I noticed every time he had the ball their players were talking to the ref to distract him from timing how long he held it. Referees don't seem interested in stamping out this type of cheating!

I agree with you about being brave Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose Eriksen Aurier should all be banished from the squad.

Did Kane look like he needed to be dropped or rested on Monday? He's one of the best players in the league but being used incorrectly.

Exactly, the only thing with Sanchez could be having picked up a yellow.

I really don't think sacking Poch is the answer, but I'm really struggling to understand what he's trying to achieve.

Worried that he's going to end up ostracising players who are going to be here whilst pandering to Toby, Jan, Rose, Aurier who all want or wanted out.

It’s just an absolute mess. We look so far away from the team we were a few seasons ago, with half of our historically “best” players on the brink of leaving - either having stated publicly or clearly one shit season away from stating it.

Feels like 3 routes right now: 1) some of our players, either established or not, find unforeseen qualities and step up, 2) we spend a fuck ton to upgrade the squad or 3) we fall back to fighting for Europa.

He has to play Verts at LB and Sanchez with Toby in the middle moving forward,
Right now I’d quite like to see neither Toby or Jan unless they’re going to sign a new contract and remember how to defend or pass a ball.
