He’s got so much potential imo. Just needs a bit of refining. Love how he shifts the ball past players. Makes it look effortless. He seems a really intelligent player.

He just needs to refine his game as you say, which I would say includes maintaining focus for 90 mins. I’ve noticed a few instances where he just loses focus and plays a slack pass.

I’m with you though, big talent imo and very much under the radar compared to a lot of the names out there.

It’s like you mentioned the other day, if he can just sort out his body positioning defensively and smooth over the rough edges. I read the other day Palace had been scouting him and keen on getting him. Him and Wharton could be a rather exciting prospect in midfield.

I am all for youth and buying potential but at some point we need to buy a player or two for now and not the 2028 season.

Not that he necessarily was on our list for the DM role but he’s def one I would have expected us to have looked at given his skill set. But with this news I imagine he might not be an option anymore depending on the severity of the damage.

@rossdapep you see Leonardo came on 70th min against Brags and scored 2 to win the game 3-1. He got MOTM as well. He’s now up to 7 in 13 league games with just 277 mins played.
I didn't see the game, mate, but saw the score.

He is just one of those players who has a knack of knowing where to be to score. Not always the cleanest of strikes or finishes but he just has the sense which is invaluable in a CF.

He'll be worth 80m+ if he keeps it up.

Wesley of Corinthians is starting to show his quality now.

Just scored a super solo goal and has that 1v1 dribbling ability we could require. He's fluid, powerful, quick footed, can hold the line and cut in, deceive and go outside so he has the tools.

Can even hit rockets in too.

Could be a Son replacement for the future.

Here's his solo run tonight

He also smashed one in from 30 yards or so.

I like Johnson and think he'll be pivotal for us but we don't really have players who can smash these in or dribble 2-3 players.

Johnson is more of a flying winger who can beat 1 player with momentum but I also see him more as at the end of moves.

We need someone willing to take on as much as possible. Wesley fits that.

Whilst I'm on it, mentioned him before, as I think you have mate @Ghost Hardware .

Luis Guilherme.

Had a brilliant night midweek as he helped Palmeiras turn around a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 in Copa Libertadores. He scored the winner.

Playing under Abel Ferreira would have been good for him tactically because Abel does not play these kids unless they show tactical actions frequently. He always plays older heads despite them not having the talent the kids have

Endrick, Estavão and Luis Guilherme have all had to wait.

But Luis Guilherme is starting to be more decisive when called upon.

He is superb off the right where he is rapid and uses his long legs to gallop past defenders. Full of tricks to gain a yard or 2, superb quality from crosses and corners.

If he can't find a pass, he will attempt a dribble and doesn't play back too much. Positive most of the time.

Unpredictable too.

He's a wonderkid so I don't know if we can get in ahead of the queue but I believe we need to start to target these types from South America as well as closer to home.
