With our boy Erik starting the season on decent form, it seems fitting we track him and his emotional responses to the highs and lows of this season.

First up is his reaction to our equaliser against Villa last week. Note the intensity of his eyes: joy is deferred in preference for the grim understanding that the job is only half done

? This is a good thread.

I liked his eyes when he was snapped arriving for the game at Stamford Bridge, when we beat them for the first time since the Battle of Hastings.

And this entry documents Erik’s response to his much needed equaliser against City, who at this point were threatening to run riot.

Note the intensity of his eyes- no resting on his laurels, no basking in the sun for this Argentine

It would be great if he could have a few season injury free and see how good he is.

When things aren’t going well for you as a player if the fans see you fight to the end like Lamela you can’t help but like him his such a fighter.

I like to see intensity in players. Lamela is intense and I like that.He seems a bit more solid in his approach too this year.
