I think is positioning is questionable sometimes not bad sometimes not particulary good. Maybe he will get better

Right at this moment he's a long way from a perfect RB for a team with aspirations of winning things, but we've clearly decided to 'make' our next RB rather than purchase one, so we need to give him time to learn.

Had he come in at the same stage of our progression as Walker did, i'm sure we'd have thought he was decent, but because we are further along in our process he's coming into a team where you can barely afford to make a mistake. I think he'll be fine tbh although how much better than 'fine' is debatable and it's far too early for judgement.

The thing is we don't have that many choices for the position right now. Honestly if Foyth when he gets well is more clever in his tackling rather than reckless like Aurier,Id rather see him RB. I hope KWP gets better but the litmus test is this.Am I confident in his ability and I would say definitely not yet.
Take Rose on the other side. Has his faults but he is a tough tackler and not as reckless as the others. He is ok for now/ Sessegnon is more of a wing back, and Davies hasnt impressed but I feel safer with him if Verts left than Sanchez

Kwp did Well against city and held his own 1v1 against sterling. Most of the crosses didn’t even come from his side.
Yet I hear people talking about foyth who gave away two pens against wolves and got sent off against Bournemouth it’s madness.

Started poorly but grew into it. If he's going to be our starting RB this season(which I'd prefer over Foyth), he's going to have to learn quickly. He has another test in 2 weeks. We'll see how he does.

Foyth, to me, is much more reckless than clever. Perhaps more reckless than Serge. He's got much to clamp down on if he's going to be a good player.

I agree with you but I like the idea he has an edge to his game but he has to be more clever with his power.
I havent see too much with KWP yet but willing to wait and see.Looks a bit lightweight not only in weight

Plenty of reports highlight the fact that City chose (and succeeded) in picking on Rose's flank.

Important to remember that he is a WB and not a RB, so imo the responsibility is on preventing deliveries rather than challenging for headers, as you implied.

Just glad he didn't get dropped after another great performance last week. He did well. People keep mentioned his strength as he may have been barged off a ball once or twice, I've seen plenty of footballers being barged off balls and falling over. Seems like people can't understand the concept that some people are stronger than others.

I remember a couple of times him dribbling out and holding people off. I don't get this issue. All things considered he held his own and we drew. Could he have done better for the first goal, maybe, but it was a great cross and run.

It seems the two moments that stick in a lot of people's head is the slip against Dembele and the handball at Crystal Palace. People make mistakes. With Foyth injured hopefully he gets the run he deserves and I have no doubt, he'll secure himself as our starting RB, and be one of the better ones in the league by the end of the season. He is even starting to dribble a bit more. Again fortune has played it's part and he should have happened earlier but hopefully he continues to take his chances now. Will be one of the genuinely quality players I've seen in the academy come through, just hope he brings his old game but it will come with confidence if he still has it in him.

I think he is our first choice right back, spurs intended to start him, club I think would like to sell SA and Poch saying KWP has pressure now his a starter.

im sorry didnt mean any offence, i enjoy reading your opinions, but reading your posts give me a headache. I just hoped to get you to proofread, every once and a while.

I don't disagree with that. It's kind of Ronglish I know,I just hope some of the essence gets through.
Apology taken and I'll try to be careful and please note the first sentence was fine it was the second one that I took offense to.
Criticism is fair, personal attacks are not reasonable

I think the doubters thought he'd be exposed yesterday but he did well considering City clearly targeted his side and also considering how good Sterling is at the moment. Sissoko didn't offer much protection in the first half an hour and I only remember KWP making one mistake.
Villa also tried targeting him a lot as they seemed to want to get the bigger and theoretically stronger El Ghazi to overpower him and it never worked. Funnily enough the couple times they did threaten we’re when they went at Roses side.

KWP is a really good RB but clearly lacks 1st team Premier League experience, which he is finally getting albeit due to Foyth's injury.

Let's not forget that our "best" right back of recent years, Kyle Walker spent the first two and a half seasons out on loan at Sheff U, QPR and in the Premier League at Villa before playing with for 3 years before he really became the best RB in the country. He made countless mistakes and as a fan base we all moaned at his error prone play, but that culminated with our two best league seasons in recent memory - 2015/16 and 2016/17 when we were involved in the title hunt.

It's easy to now say he was quality, but I'm not sure we all thought that in 2011.

Similarly, if KWP is deemed good enough to play for us then he has to play to improve and reach his potential.

IMO however I think Pochettino sees Foyth as our long-term RB project.

KWP > AARONS. Just want to get that out there. For me KWP is potentially best right back at the club taking into consideration the full package of the modern full/wingback.

Great belief and support for KWP (which I like).

What do you base this on? I've only ever seen him play a handful of home matches live and a few away games on TV and don't have a lot to know how good he is.

I think he’s done well so far. He’s progressive, comfortable with the ball at his feet and crosses well. Give him a year or two to learn the more adept arts of defending and he could be an excellent regular for us
