This years under 18s will need more time, they are very good going forward but coming back not so good.

Very early days but Kion Etete looks a good player maybe too good for u18 football.

Makes sense about the issues at the back as it’s essentially Binks holding down a group of players who have never/infrequently played at the U18 level.

Really good to hear about Etete. He was playing in League 2 last year wasn’t he?

Will say the problem is not just at the back the midfield do not track runners leaving the back four far too exposed and they need to sort that out or it will be a hard season for them.

Can any of the youth watchers say if we have any creative midfielders coming through at any levels? We seem to have cracked it producing hard working tidy midfielders like Winks, Skipp and Amos but are there any with vision and creativity to.look out for? I'm not expecting much - simply a cross between Hoddle and Gazza.

Can almost see that in the stats given up bucket loads of chances in 1st 2 games. I think 20 shots against yesterday.

White Maghoma Bowden TOB are all more creative and Markanday Shashoua although they are more like describing eriksen as a midfielder.

what is eriksen if not a midfielder?

i don't consider tob as being creative and whilst white racks up a lot of assists that is more down to his delivery and quality from dead balls rather than the kind of creativity i assume we're talking about. bowden has a nice vertical pass and through ball in him but i see him as being similar to carrick, i don't know whether you'd really class carrick as being creative. maghoma has it in him in a dele kind of way but he's often wasteful and takes a lot of risks, i don't think poch has much interest in that kind of player until they've ironed out a lot of their faults.

both shashouas and markanday are the main creative outlets of the teams they play in but it will be difficult for them to make it because of their size.

I think the question was midfielders with more creativity than say the ones we’ve currently produced like Winks and Skipp. Personally I wouldn’t consider Eriksen a standard midfielder. For me his best position is in a 3 behind Kane and it’s kind of stretching it calling that midfield. And apparently TOB played much more advanced in the U23 games so far and been very effective.

Marsh's loan could backfire spectacularly. They desperately needed creativity and goalscoring from midfield not another holding player.

So we've given a two year deal to a 20 year old who has now gone to a club who were promoted from non-league football last season. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
