We have very few players able to do what he did yesterday. I can only assume he is really thick because he hasn’t kicked on like most players under Pochettino and his coaches. It’s a shame if he has reached his ceiling.

I don’t entirely understand why he has never really been given a chance. He doesn’t look terrible at all. Really surprised he can’t find a club to take a chance on him.

Well according to PL rules, each club is only allowed to register two players with three initials in their names and KWP & SHM (Sonny) have already taken up those slots.

Shame, this guy. Shows flashes of real skill that gives me minor hope but then the reality of his shambolic time since arrival here reminds me that there's more to being an elite footballer for Spurs than what he has shown.

I see no fault in him - there's not a lot he can do if he simply isn't good enough. I suspect though the price we paid out for him has worked against him with Levy hoping to recoup much of it.

I like him, it’s a shame for whatever reason he hasn’t been able to make it here

I reckon he's been a lazy bastard in training. Would be iconic if he's started putting an absolute shift in and gets in Poch's good books.

Thought he's done well pre season, and 80% of what he does is decent enough to play PL with bottom half teams no problem imo. But that 20% is the problem, as to me the thing he lacked was composure and i'm not sure how you teach that ? Great instinctive trick to skip away from marker and great cross on the run for Lamela goal....then a couple of times he's had space in front of him, gallops towards opponents box, gets confronted by defenders and either over runs ball or runs into defender - like in his head he just couldn't fathom what to do next, whereas the good stuff was instinctive. Can't fault the effort he's shown pre season though, tracking back, working hard. Someone must buy him surely, unless he's pricing himself out of a move with wage demands ?

His game when facing a packed defence is generally about shifting to the left and whacking a hopeful cross in. He doesn't have the ability to arrive in good positions and be a genuine goal threat, and hopeful crosses is something that our game is generally not geared towards, with good reason, as it's not an effective way of attacking.

He's way below our level and even though he tends to have one or two moments of not being absolute rubbish each preseason, we really need to find someone we can give him to, and it will probably mean paying parts of his wages.

But then he's our third choice LW (after Son and Dele) and the first two things you'd realistically expect when you have to field such a player is that they a) keep it simple and b) put in a shift. If what you're saying about his pre-season is correct then I don't think him taking up a squad space is a disaster.
