I’m fully Ange in. I totally agree that the last few months have been gutting but I genuinely believe he’s our best chance for success. Things can change quickly with the right additions. Two years ago when we beat Arsenal for fourth we all thought a title challenge would follow for spurs next...
Didn’t Warnock say Spence could end up anywhere from Premier League to non-league and it would be his attitude and application which would determine that. Looks like he’s well on his way to squandering his talent.
You can say it’s only 17 games till January. There’s no way though that these owners will have a centre back lined up to come in on jan 1st. If any signings are to be made they’ll come in on the last day of the next window irrespective of how many points it may cost us not having them in early...
I was impressed when I saw him play at Palace. Reminded me a bit of a young Dele in the way he wasn’t afraid of a bit of niggle and would sometimes leave his foot in on his opposite number. I think our midfield needs that.
Can he press though? Is he not injury prone? Is he as professional as he should be off the pitch? I get that in an attacking sense he’s a very good player but does he fit the bill for what Ange requires from his midfielders? I’m not too sure he does to be honest. Given that we don’t have...
Who is there out there who could replace him for us though? That’s my worry. If you take his goals out of our team do we run the risk of doing an Everton next year and fighting relegation?
Only Spurs could, instead of appointing the seemingly available Slot, Amorim, Postecoglu or Alonso, decide it’s better to appoint Rodgers or Glasner.
On the one hand you think there’s no way that’d happen but we were all saying the same two years ago when Nuno left wolves. Nothing would...
What I don’t get from Levy’s perspective is that we get more money the higher we finish in the league and if we qualify for the Champions League that revenue increases dramatically. Surely it’s worth spending a certain amount at the start of the window to secure a target like Porro who is...
I think the Europa league will be their undoing. My arsenal supporting mates (well mate actually as there’s only one) are terrified of an injury to Partey or Xaka and say if that happens for any length of time then they’ll be in real trouble.
I’m still genuinely worried about the Burnley game coming so soon after the NLD. Getting up for the Burnley game emotionally will be key and matching their physicality from minute one. I think we’ll beat Arsenal but we must then follow it up.
In a way the players know that mentally there is no cushion now they have to win tonight. Hopefully that’s enough to ensure no repeat of the lethargic performance from last week.
