Absolutely, but if you don't give them a chance and continue to sign mediocre players to fill gaps in the squad then we'll never know. They don't need to be Fodens or Palmers, or in our case a Kane or King, but they could be a useful squad player and play a role better than someone shoe-horned...
Don't need him, we should be focusing on promoting Phillips, Dorrington and Vuskovic. People are so skittish when it comes to trusting youth but then swoon when the likes of Mainoo, Trent etc come through or speak about the merits of signing a Bergvall, or a Gallagher or Eze who were trusted by...
I agree he should be starting atm but I think the issue with starting players who aren't training particularly well, if that is the case, is the message it sends to the other players. You can do it with Gazza, Maradona, Messi etc, Lo Celso isn't on that level.
The only thing I would like to see him doing differently now that the season is almost over is to faze out the players with no future here and start playing some of the youth who have performed so well this season and clearly have a future at the club. Donley, Lankshear, Moore etc deserve...
Honestly cannot understand why anyone wouldn't back Ange and trust him to build something here. Yes, Conte and Mourinho said the same thing about the squad and could've been given the same time but it's about whose image you want to build your squad and club around and Ange just suits us down to...
The problem is winning doesn't breed winning, it only breeds winning with that team. This squad, or whatever it is next year, needs to finally win a trophy together and get rid of this mentality. If we somehow get European football, that and the domestic cups need to be the priority.
Some questionable sub choices but that game wasn't about tactics for me, mentally these players are incredibly fragile and it's ingrained in them to fail under pressure.
What's clear is that this group of players only seem to perform when the pressure is off. Nobody expected anything from us at the start of the season and they were flying, the moment title talk, top four talk etc started the wheels fell off and players started dropping off.
No wonder Ange is so determined to stick to his principles and drill it home, first speed bump in the road and this squad have well and truly reverted back to last season's team.
