I think that's a great shout by him and his family, you can learn so much about different footballing styles but also culture etc, I wish more young players would do it.
It's positive that Davies is actively looking for something else, he's been a great servant but he needs to get playing time in, you're a long time retired
I agree, look at the lad Newcastle drafted in during their injury crisis, they come in with a bang and then drift, unless they're an exceptional talent they need nurturing.
It's gone down like a lead balloon on the Hull City Twitter page, took them from 15th to 7th with quite a few iffy buys from a crap DoF. Couple that with what he achieved at Derby and it all seems a bit crazy.

Birmingham City sack John Eustace “worst...
After watching the 442 vid I totally get the issue, how teams have sussed us out but if we get some players in key positions in we'll really hurt teams if they set up the same against us.
The stubbornness to the system is incredibly brave, but the rewards could be huge depending on recruitment.
Players that come from teams like Brighton (and before that Southampton and way back Forest) always seem to excel at those teams but don't always translate to similar levels at bigger clubs. I'm always wary.
Wolves have always had a strange recruitment structure which was more about what Mendes wanted than the manager.
West Ham have always been at odds with Moyes, he likes a certain profile of player and their DOF another. Moyes success has just delayed the inevitable.
What isn't different is the commitment from the manager, board, recruitment to a long term objective. All 4 of those managers understand what is required to build success in the long term and are unwavering with that and the board have to be aligned. It seems like that is happening.
