The thing is that Ange is a winner. He has won everywhere he has been:
Celtic - 5 trophies
Yokohama - 1 trophy
Brisbane Roar - 2 trophies
South Melbourne - 3 trophies
Australia - 1 trophy
Australia U20 - 3 trophies
Australia U17 - 3 trophies
He is no different to Conte or Mourinho in that he...
So people have an issue with Ange wanting to win and being pissed off when we lose? Personally don't see a single thing wrong with what he said and I want him to have the time to turn us into winners.
Absolute winner. In the last couple of weeks I’ve blocked 6 posters which is the first time in 18 years on here that I’ve blocked anyone.
The constant need to be proved right and say things that are outlandish drives me crazy. Not giving managers time has won us absolutely naff all. We now have...
Yep fair point. I bloody hope all of them make it as it would be great for the club.
Next year with Europa is a great opportunity to blood our best ones in Moore, Donley and potentially Dorrington.
I agree with what you are saying and I certainly wasn’t trying to take it to an extreme.
All I’m trying to do for those that do seem to expect to have 5/6 players coming through next season is to taper that expectation.
I totally agree that Moore or Donley would have done more than Gil but...
I think as always we need to be realistic with the chances of our kids.
Generally only the cream rises to the top. If we look at the top 6 in terms of regular academy kids playing you have (when all players fit):
Man City - Foden.
Arsenal - Saka.
Liverpool - TAA.
Man Utd - Mainoo & Rashford...
Funny old game. We created so many opportunities that we could have done better in and yet again failed to be clinical. Was the same against both Arsenal and Liverpool.
We really need to get back to our clinical ways. Deki, Son, Johnson and Maddison need to severely increase their output.
If I’m right Kulu has just had a kid. Now I’m not giving him an out as he deserves all the criticism he is receiving but maybe that’s playing a part?
I just find it hard to believe that a player that was so good on the ball has turned into this guy who looks like he has won a competition to be...
I like that people hold hope for Matthew Craig, however at 21 and only just playing in League 2 he has a massive step up to make if he is going to push his way infront of our young midfielders already at the club in:
6 - Hall & Olusesi
8 - Sarr, Bergvall, Devine and Kyerematen
10 - Donley &...
Phillips definitely looks a great prospect. You can see from that video that he is physically a man so will not struggle in that department, and he just needs to continue his development and the art of defending.
Would be good to see him go to a team that expects to do well in the championship...
Haven’t seen Artem Dovbyk mentioned anywhere yet. 63 goals and 21 assists in 92 games spanning across the last 3 seasons (2 for Dnipro, 1 for Girona). 84 g/a in 92 games is pretty damn good.
Big, strong, agile, hard working and Girona only signed him for 7m Euros so I would imagine would be...
My neighbours back then were also Tottenham fans & I went over theirs to watch the game. We all went absolutely mental when we scored that when I went back home my wife was wondering what the hell had happened as it woke both kids up!
What a fantastic moment that was.
Clearly from that 442 video it shows a few things:
1 - Our need to involve our wide players more. Get the ball out to them quicker.
2 - Our requirement for an elite winger (Nico Williams type).
3 - Our need for a focal point CF. Look how our game changed when Richarlison came on against...
All the people trying to insinuate that Arteta did better in his first year are making me laugh:
- Arteta took over a team that finished 5th.
- He then finished that season 8th.
- He then proceeded to spend £100m on players to finish the next season 8th.
- He then spent £185m the next season to...
Mainoo proving that he is still just a kid lately and should be nowhere near that England Squad in the summer. He is undoubtedly a talent but nowhere near ready.
In this game alone he has lost the ball 4 times in dangerous areas by my count.
Aaahhhh why listen to our manager when he says things…..
Or why listen to opposition managers talk about how we play……
when we can just listen to the “experts” on here who know more than Pep, Klopp and Ange…..😂
