This Man Utd penalty taker debate has given me pause for thought. I wish we had a cast-iron guaranteed candidate to take all of our penalties, but no names leap to mind when pondering: "who will take a penalty for us should we win one?" (Fuck you, of course it's Kane and I'm joking.)
Lamela or Son.

After they’ve fought to first blood with knives :cautious:

Who takes the penalty if Kane isn't on the pitch?

Not if they've already qualified and heavily rotated...I can see them going quite far in the Arsenal League this year.
Maybe but they still lose days preparation and if it's a long round trip the majority of the squad will still travel.

True, although would've been nicer to play them after one of their first few European games.
Hopefully they'll be dragged to the darkest corner of Eastern Europe that week.

Of course it is.

Solskjaer should have the fucking bollocks to be telling whoever that they are the penalty taker hence forth and for it to be Rashford and Pogba to just decide on any given day/night who takes it is a joke. Actually reflects badly on all three.

He just comes across like he's a competition winner who doesn't want to piss anyone off.

Shows the change in mentality at Man Utd. Can't remember van Nistelrooy, Cantona or Rooney happily letting a midfielder take a penalty off them.

Alli has taken it in the past when Kane hasn't been on the pitch, scored against Southampton and Watford.

Neville: "I think Paul Pogba could be Player Of The Year. I know that's a bold statement."

Carragher: "It's a stupid statement."

I was astonished when he said that. You wouldn't expect that level of bias from Lawro, let alone Neville.

I used to think Neville was an exceptional pundit but he's starting to come out with some nonsense now.

There was last season when him and Tyler waffled about Poch going to United for a good 5 minutes whilst we were dismantling Everton and now he states something like this.

Utd will fall off big time later in the season. Their depth is minimal and I reckon Ole will run them into the ground. Even tonight they look done before 70.

Yep. The days of Man Utd dominating are gone and now they are mediocre with a mediocre manager.
