Enjoyed the reverse offside trap there a minute ago, where we had their CF in an offside position but at the last minute VDV dropped back so that he could play the attacker onside and win a sprint for the ball.
He's certainly got an eye for a pass. Not all coming off but the fact that he's seeing the opportunity and trying to execute it at his age is really encouraging.
Don't think Burnley are going to try to win the game by being 3-0 up at half time. It'll just look very similar to how every lower league team sets up against us. Sit deep for 75 mins; look for the counter; have a go in the last 15 if needed.
I think he now falls into the 'listen to serious offers' category. I'm not saying he should be at the top of the list to replace, but if someone wants him for decent money we should be open to it.
Yeh I looked at a list of our loaned out players the other day and can't believe how flabby our playing staff is. Why have we not got rid of so many obviously bad signings?
This window coming has got to be the mother of all windows.
I'm Ange in. I like him as a person and it's not like constantly cycling through managers has worked for us either. I'm a little concerned at how wide open we are, and how quickly we can get players in to counter that but I like the concept of what he's trying to do and I want to know if he can...
Gave it to Skipp for the energy that just forced something to happen. Richy good too. GLC also in the time he had. Less said about the rest the better.
Yeh, I don't think it's irrational to select Emerson today. He is a full back with international caps for Brazil. He should have performed far better than he did.
However, given the last two matches, and how Skipp deputised for the last 30, I'd be concerned if he went for Emerson to start again...
Can only assume he's said he wants to leave, which is entirely fair enough. Problem is that despite that probably being the case he's still looked our best midfielder when he does get a few minutes.
Ange should just let him off the leash. Tell him he's got three matches and just go and enjoy...
People might, but he doesn't. Think he's said before that he wants to stay and fight for his place. Well this might be his big chance. Three matches to win the manager and the fans over.
LB for me. Probably just one of those happy accidents, but if Ange wants his full backs to play in midfield then why not play someone who is certainly no worse in that position than Emerson, but who is actually used to receiving the ball in midfield too.
Might not work but fuck it, Emerson just...
Fair do's. Looked more solid than Emerson defensively (low bar), and offered a bit going forward too. Deserves to keep his place there for the next game.
