We need a big upgrade on him. Was never convinced he was the striker that we wanted or needed when we signed him. He’s constantly injured and doesn’t seem to have that strikers instinct to want to score goals.

I don’t foresee any scenario where Ange effectively strips Sonny of the captaincy. I think he may find that Son spends a lot more time riding the pine next season and thus allows Romero to take the arm band but there’s no way that they’ll officially take the captaincy off Son.
