I just don't think he has the creative passing to compete with Maddison. As someone else said in this thread I really think with his ball carrying, strength and tactical awareness he is much more of an 8 than a 10. In fact I see shades of a young Bastian Schweinsteiger in his ability and future...
Prepared to be stunned.
The case against them is much harder to prove as it comes down to proving they falsified revenue streams. The FA don't only have to prove they lied but also that the execs from their apparent sponsored have lied as well. Not easy to do when Man City can spend whatever...
He is centre back rotation. If VDV or Romero lose form, or pick up bans or injury, then he comes in. I’m sure if outperforms the player he replaces then there is a chance he stays in the team for a period.
No way do I see Ange altering his whole formation to accommodate an extra defender. It...
Never going to happen, unfortunately.
We see it all the time on this forum. Fans relentlessly tearing into players if they don't perform within the first few months of joining. I mean, in the case of some players they actually get booed by our own fans at our stadium. It's just where we are as...
would be great but he’s gonna cost around £100m+ he’s on a long contract and Napoli have no need to sell. Especially with Osihmen leaving this summer for silly money.
They won't. I also don't think we'll try and move him on so soon after signing him.
Personally I don't reckon we'll sign Werner. We're obviously giving him a carrot at the moment to motivate him but IMO we'll sign a higher level wing forward in the summer to compete for a starting spot.
Thought he looked clumsy on the ball and was a little rash with his tackling and decision making. I’m sure it was just nerves (which is completely understandable) but I didn’t think he was great during the time he was on.
Problem with that is we lose all ball retention from the front line if Deki is dropped out. Meaning we’re ripe for being counter attacked - and Villa will love that.
He has to train hard and take his opportunity like any footballer. Thats what all young footballers have been doing their whole career through the ranks. I doubt he was expecting to be first choice immediately.
This is the thing, he has something like 10-11 goal involvements (4 goals + 6 assists) for us already in his first season at a new club, as a 22 year old in only his second season in the premier league. Yes he could have been better but the facts don't lie, he's contributing at a decent rate...
I see this one-on-one specialist mentioned a lot. Considering it's Ange's system and so far he has targeted Johnson and now Neto, what makes you so sure he wants a one-on-one specialist?
If that was the profile he wanted surely he would be prioritise that over potentially spending £60/£70m on Neto?
