Serge (from Kasabian) was talking about their season on talksport the other day saying how Winks has been one of their best players this year and how everything goes through him.
Happy for the guy, always seems like a down to earth nice bloke.
That first goal to break the deadlock is always so important so just makes it all the more frustrating when they’re constantly gifted these soft pens yet never get booked for diving.
There must have been 4 or 5 other times they had players going down with no contact yet they don’t get carded...
Haven’t seen much of the World Championships this year but just flicked over to Eurosport and the pre-session analysis from McManus was so good.
Covered use of spin, thought process and what they have to consider when playing safety’s and different ball striking styles of the two players.
So...
I'm still pissed they stopped serving Gamma Ray in the stadium :bag:
This place is more realistic than the crazies on social media but I have seen previously level headed friends turning on the team & Ange quicker than I'd expect. Personally I don't get it. Yes, results have been poor...
It's a good idea but the main element is that you don't need to stop the game for this. Let play continue and it only gets called back if all three hit green. Then show the incident and decision on the big screens so everybody can see why play has been pulled back.
Also scrap the pitch-side...
I've not seen anything over the past two seasons to suggest he is capable of being a good option.
Hold up play is poor, linking play is poor, finishing is poor, aerial ability is ok (but he rarely gets into position for this to be a threat). He doesn't make runs off the ball to create space...
While I agree wholeheartedly on that side the worst part for me during our previous Europa league seasons was the constant Thurs/Sun or Thurs/Mon schedule.
Constantly feels like we're not part of the football weekend, not talked about as much on podcasts or MOTD.
It's quite painful listening to some of his pre/post match interviews. Was his English always this bad or is he putting it on to avoid tricky questions.
Seem to remember his interviews being much clearer than they are at the moment
I'll never understand the anti-Ange stuff at this point of the season and that's even without considering the state we were in when he took over, losing Kane, not getting a replacement, all the disruption and (admittedly lilywhite tinted) rough decisions going against us from officials ever...
They're tricky to call for next season, feel it's a pivotal moment for them. Their top players over recent years are all on their way out (Salah, VDV & TAA all running down their contracts with one year left).
Behind those three the squad is relatively thin on the ground. They've done well...
