I think I've heard that there is a limit to how many non Spurs events we can hold in a calendar year, do you (or anyone else) know about that?
No idea. My info comes from the music side of things, not the Spurs side.

edit: 16, including the NFL games, it seems.

Seem to remember there is limit on the number of non-spurs events requiring the High Rd to be shut but cannot remember what it is , it can probably be found by delving through the multitude of stadium planning documents on the Haringey Council Planning website. Needless to say if an event is announced then it must be approved by Haringey Council.

That would be interesting - but call me skeptical. 5 concerts would seem to put quite a strain on her voice early into a world-wide tour.

I am sure there is enough demand for it though.
I remember Michael Jackson doing 5 shows at Wembley Stadium in 9 days, during the BAD tour in 1988.

One further thing to add to this, it's 16 non-association football events. So, for example, if we were to host an England game or a Brazil v Argentina friendly etc that wouldn't count against the 16. Neither do Spurs Women or youth team games.

Five dates now booked, and your music ITK status confirmed.

I also know quite a lot of the Glastonbury lineup, but I'm sworn to secrecy. All I will reveal is that Blondie and Cat Stevens are both doing legends slots, and that the John Peel stage is getting renamed. But I don't know what to.

Assuming she sings live throughout. With all that dancing, singing in a clear voice is challenging. I imagine she will use autotune as many other artists do.

Is the lineup any good, in your opinion that is? I've found it a bit too iffy in the last couple of years; almost like they try too hard to cater to everyone!

Headliners (who I think everybody knows anyway) aren't really my thing, other than Arctic Monkeys who I'm seeing this year already. I guess Elton John could be fun, as I wouldn't ever go and see him on his own, so this will be a good chance. Guns n Roses I just don't care about at all. There was a huge female artist who pulled out to headline apparently, which is why they're all men by the way.

Elsewhere it's pretty good. They've absolutely nailed the artist who is performing before Elton John imo. The perfect intro to him.

Haven't got word on when it'll be announced yet, but likely a few weeks away yet. Early March.

Announced on Spurs site at 11 am and already GA admission sold out for extra dates, Daniel must be loving this.

I mean it's Beyonce. She could play 100 dates at the stadium and sell out immediately

Hoping Wembley haven’t spent all the money they overcharged us with when we were renting the place.

We must be stealing quite a few events from them every year! ?

am i the only one who doesent know a single song by her?
I'd think most people would know Single Ladies ("Put a ring on it")?

Must admit, wasn't sure we'd ever make use of the 16 extra events each year, but getting 5 Beyoncé gigs has got to be big money.

Hopefully she has better sound engineers than Guns n Roses.

Might be a good idea to rename this thread to Concerts at the stadium or something similar.
