A thread for recommending and discussing football boots, or even just sharing your favourites from now and down the years.
For a year now I have been playing 5 and 7 aside at a Goals centre, exclusively on 4G pitches. Up until now I have been wearing my old Puma King astroturf boots, which are more like trainers and are really designed for the old sandy astroturf pitches. My concern is that these are starting to impact my ankles and knees because they don't really have the proper purchase on a 4G pitch, and just flatten the turf rather than go into it.
For those who play regular, do you use firm ground or the more common artifical grass type boot, and how do you find it? I have my old pair of Adidas 11pro firm ground boots, which I haven't used for about 7 or 8 years, but I'm concerned that I'll do my ankle in those if they're too large a stud.
Any recommendations or thoughts appreciated!
